History
The Crystal Lake Lions Club were chartered on August 4, 1931. More than 100 crowded the main
dining room at the Crystal Lodge. A young lawyer, Hamilton O. Hale was the charter president and
predicted that the Lions would prove their ever-increasing importance to Crystal Lake. Lion Hale was
right on. The club was sponsored by the Barrington Lions Club.
